HERE’S HOW IT WORKS
STUDENTS NEW TO
IYENGAR YOGA
Students new to the Iyengar system must sign up for the entire 12-week session, at Level 1, or at 50+. You’ll register for the class or classes you are most likely to attend, and make up the classes you have to miss.
Mail in your registration, or bring it to your first day of class. We accept cash or checks. No credit cards please.
Fees are listed on the registration form.
Registrations will be accepted through the third week of the session.
Yoga is practiced with bare feet. Please wear shorts or tights. (Baggy pants and bell-bottoms obscure your view, and the teacher’s view, of your knees and ankles, and make correction of alignment difficult or impossible.) Come with an empty stomach, or eat lightly no less than two hours before the class.
MAKE-UPS
If you have to miss a class, you may make it up by going to another class at the same level some time before the end of the session. There’s no need to let us know ahead of time—simply come and introduce yourself to the teacher. And it’s OK to make up classes in advance, if you know you are going to miss.
EXTRA CLASSES
All students in the 50+, Level 1, and Pranayama classes must register for the entire session. However, if you’d like an extra class, in addition to the ones you’ve registered for, you may come and pay a $16 drop-in fee.
DROP-INS
Level 2 students must have at least 3 months of instruction in specifically Iyengar Yoga, with a teacher certified to teach in the Iyengar system. Students at this level may drop in to individual classes for $20.
Level 2 students who have registered for the entire session may drop in to additional classes for $16/class.
REFUNDS
Refunds will be given only during the first four weeks of the session, minus $20 for each class attended. No fees will be carried over into following sessions.
